Meet David Michael Illich, Au.D.
David Michael Illich, AuD., has served San Diego North County since 1984. He was born at George Air Force Base in Victorville California and was raised in Long Beach Mississippi. He received his Master’s Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Alabama. In 1984 Dr. Illich carried out his lifelong commitment to Audiology in earning his doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Dr. Illich was a past president of the California Audiology Association and has served on several national organizations boards. In 2004, he created Palomar Health’s Hear For the Holidays Essay contest.
Dr. Illich is the sole provider of Audiology and Hearing Services for three of the areas hospitals and most of the area’s private physician clinics. He currently is the Chief of Audiology for Palomar Health and Pomerado Hospital and a contractual provider for Tri-City Hospital. He remains devoted to providing the very best audiological care possible, and is “proud that local physicians know we provide their patients with focused individualized attention, quality digital instrumentation, technical expertise, and continued follow-up care”.
Dr. Illich is married to Kathleen, and Escondido 2nd grade teacher, with whom he has two children, Michael and Alexis. Outside of work, Dr.Illich enjoys hiking, reading, and, most of all, spending time with family.
